Configuring Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition for daily Signature file updates

 

1.      Double click the Symantec taskbar icon  on the right side of your taskbar.

·        Alternatively: If this Icon is not there, Click <Start> on the left side of your taskbar

·        Select  <All Programs>

·        Select <Symantec Client Security>

·        Select <Symantec Antivirus>

 

2.      Click <File> in the menu, upper left corner

3.      Click <Schedule Updates>

4.      Make sure there is a check in the box to enable scheduled automatic updates

5.      Click <Schedule>

6.      Under “Frequency”, select daily

7.      Under “When”, select a time of day in which the computer will be on and available to download updates.

·        Schedule this automatic update at a different time from the “Windows” automatic update.

 

8.      Click <Ok> to accept the settings

9.      Click <Ok> to leave the schedule screen

10.  Click <Exit> to leave the configuration screen
